Job Title: Ombudsman (Part-time)

Department: Area Agency on Aging

Long Term Care Ombudsman advocate on behalf of individuals and groups of residents, provide information to residents and their families about the long-term care system, and work to effect system changes on a local, state, and national level. They provide an on-going presence in long term care facilities, monitoring care and conditions and providing a voice for those who are unable to speak for themselves. Provide protection of nursing home and assisted living residents with information about resident’s rights, resolve complaints, etc. through the Ombudsman program.

Education: High school diploma or equivalency. Some college preferred.

Experience: One or more years of full-time work or equivalent volunteer or part- time in the aging field.

Required: Must train and test for Ombudsman certification and maintain certification each year.

License: Valid driver’s license

 

 

Job Title: Service Coordinator for Seniors (Holyoke & Julesburg) 

Department: Area Agency on Aging (NECALG)

This full-time position is responsible for working in Phillips and Sedgwick counties with programs to keep the elderly in their homes and independent for as long as possible.  The Senior Coordinator for Seniors is the Area Agency on Aging representative for those counties and is responsible for coordinating services for the elderly client to promote opportunities for independent living. 

The individual hired for this position must be a certified Long Ombudsman Term Care Ombudsman or be willing to become one. A LTC Ombudsman promotes and advocates for resident’s rights, culture change, and excellence in care for residents in nursing homes and assisted living residents.

This position has an office in Holyoke and Julesburg.

Education: High school degree. Associates degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience and Training: One or more years of full-time work or equivalent time volunteering in the aging field. 

License or Certification: Valid driver’s license

 

 

Job Title: Human Resources/ Office Manager (Fort Morgan)

Located in Fort Morgan, this position reports to the Executive Director, primary duties include:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
  • Assists with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Establishes and maintains HR policies and programs and processes.
  • Manages and completes monthly payroll accounting and benefit programs for NECALG

Education and Experience Expected:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with a emphasis in HR, or related field(preferred).
  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience (preferred)
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (highly desired)

Department: Single Entry Point 

Qualifications: Requires those who either have a degree in one of the Human Behavioral Science fields such as Human Services, Nursing – LPN or RN, Social Work, Psychology, etc. but will consider those who have experience and background to perform the work.

Job Title: AAA Cook/Manager (Yuma)

Department: Area Agency on Aging (Nutrition Department)

The Cook’s Helper is responsible for proper food preparation and other duties as assigned by the Cook/Manager at the Meet and Eat meal site. Responsible for preparation of nutritious and attractive meals, and good sanitation practices according to procedures and guidelines as set by the Nutrition Program. 

Experience and Training

Experience:  Desire to work in food service and with elderly.

Training:      High School education or equivalency.

License or Certification:   Valid driver’s license, ability to earn SERV Safe Employee Food Safety Training Certificate

 

 

Job Title: County Express Driver (Part-time) (Sterling)

Department: County Express

The Part Time Driver is responsible for safe transportation of clients in the Northeastern Counties as well as trips out of the area.  Drivers must work as a team with dispatch centers, other drivers, supervisors and the central office to coordinate passengers. Two positions are available.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License
  • Must Pass a Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Screen
  • Must Pass a Pre-Employment Background Check
